Privacy policy

Zyphia PvP ("Zyphia," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Zyphia PvP Minecraft server (the "Server") and zyphiapvp.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what information we collect when you play on the Server, visit the Site, or make a purchase through our webstore, along with how we use that information and the rights you have over it.

We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not run behavioral advertising. We collect only what is needed to operate the Server fairly, keep it secure, and fulfill purchases.

We collect information you provide directly, information generated automatically as you play or browse, and a limited set of information from the services we rely on to run the Server.

Minecraft account data. When you connect to the Server, we record your Minecraft username, Universal Unique Identifier (UUID), and IP address. These are required to identify your account, save your progress, and enforce the rules.

Gameplay and moderation data. We store gameplay records such as faction membership, statistics, in-game economy balances, punishment history, and chat and command logs. This data supports normal gameplay, dispute resolution, anti-cheat enforcement, and moderation.

Purchases. Payments started on our store page are processed by Tebex, our third-party webstore and payment provider. Tebex collects the billing and payment details needed to complete your transaction. We do not receive or store your full payment card information; we receive a record of the package purchased and the Minecraft username it was applied to.

Communications. When you contact us by email or through our Discord server, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your Discord username, email address, and the contents of your message.

Site and server logs. Our hosting and network infrastructure automatically records standard technical data, including IP addresses, connection timestamps, browser and device type, and pages or resources requested. These logs support security monitoring and operational diagnostics.

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate the Server and preserve your gameplay progress
• Process and deliver purchases made through our webstore
• Enforce the server rules, investigate cheating, and apply punishments
• Resolve disputes and respond to support requests
• Monitor for, prevent, and investigate security incidents and abuse
• Meet our legal and regulatory obligations

We do not use your information for behavioral advertising, third-party marketing, or automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects without human review.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the limited circumstances described below.

Service providers. We share information with the vendors that make the Server possible, including our server and network hosts, and Tebex for payment processing. These providers may access data only to perform services for us and are expected to protect it.

Public gameplay information. Certain gameplay information is inherently visible to other players, including your username, faction, and public statistics or leaderboards. Do not treat in-game chat or public gameplay activity as private.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information where required by valid legal process or applicable law, or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Zyphia, our players, or the public.

We retain gameplay, moderation, and account data for as long as needed to operate the Server, enforce our rules, and keep punishment and anti-cheat records effective. Records tied to bans or ongoing investigations may be kept indefinitely.

Purchase records are retained as required for accounting, tax, and chargeback purposes. Technical server and access logs are generally retained for up to 90 days and then purged, except where a longer period is needed to investigate an incident.

This Site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. It may set strictly necessary cookies required for the Site to function. If you add a package to your basket on our store page, we set a single first-party cookie holding a reference to that basket so it survives page reloads; it expires after seven days and contains no personal information. Our webstore provider, Tebex, may set cookies necessary to process your order and prevent fraud.

The Server is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you should use the Server and make purchases only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, email [email protected] with "Privacy Request" in the subject line, and include your Minecraft username so we can locate your records.

We will respond within a reasonable period and in line with applicable law. Please note that some information, such as records tied to active bans, fraud prevention, or legal obligations, may be retained even after a deletion request.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

We apply technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information we hold, and we work with reputable providers for hosting and payment processing. No system connected to the internet can be guaranteed fully secure, and we cannot promise absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your own account credentials safe.

This policy is governed by the laws applicable to Zyphia's operations, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from this policy or our data practices will be resolved in accordance with those laws and in the appropriate courts of competent jurisdiction.

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Server or Site after any revision constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
