If you've checked the server list lately, you already know Zyphia isn't back yet. When we announced The Revival in July, we said Season 3 would launch later this summer. Summer's over, the doors are still closed, and you deserve more than silence about it.
Why it's taking longer
Season 2 didn't end because people stopped caring. It ended because we launched with too much unfinished or unwanted and then went quiet. We told you Season 3 would be built around never repeating that.
What worked is getting deeper, not reset. The mechanics you loved aren't being patched back together. They're being rebuilt to carry a lot more than they used to. That's slower than a patch. It's also the only version worth launching.
A few things we can tell you about
We said we'd build this one in public, so consider this the first look. We're keeping the details close for now.
Your base is about to get a lot busier. Season 3 brings a whole set of structures you place, grow, and protect. Some dig. Some smelt. Some hold everything your faction has worked for, which makes them, as well as your Faction Core, the first thing a raid goes looking for. You'll have more ways to keep them standing, too. New defenses are on the way, and how you defend your base has been reworked.
The world is worth exploring again. Resource nodes are showing up across the map, and they aren't all in plain sight. Some break out of the stone, some grow in the woods, and some are hidden underground for anyone willing to go looking. A few of the rarer ones even sound different. Learn what to listen for.
Some places fight back. Monuments are rising across the map, and the further out you travel, the more dangerous they get. Step inside one and something wakes up to meet you. Fight your way to whatever is waiting at its heart, and what you walk out with makes the trip worth it.
Cannoning is coming home. This is the one we're most excited about, and the one we're saying the least about. If you know how to build a cannon, that knowledge is about to matter again. If you've never built one in your life, you won't be left out of the fight. More on that soon.
